		Formerly an 18th Century coaching inn known as The Fleece Inn, now converted into a comfortable non-smoking guest house, Knighton's Fleece House Guest House offering comfortable facilities while still retaining an old world atmosphere. Knighton is set in the beautiful countryside of the Welsh Marches. Offa's Dyke, the historic boundary between Wales and England, runs through the town as does the long distance Offa's Dyke footpath which runs 176 miles from Chepstow to Prestatyn. The spectacular scenery around Knighton offers a rich variety of walks to suit all abilities.

Another new Welsh National Trail, dedicated to the Welsh warrior and self-proclaimed Prince Owain Glyndwr, was officially opened in Spring 2002. The 131 mile [213km] Glyndwr's Way begins at Knighton passing The Fleece House as it meanders its way through the glorious moorland, farmland, woodlands and forests of Mid Wales - to finish in Welshpool - there connecting with Offa's Dyke Path, offering a circular option for those wishing to complete the Trail as a continuous walk from Knighton.

We have a large selection of books and brochures offering various circular walks for those wishing to explore the area. The area is also perfect for meandering on bicycles. Cyclists are always very welcome. Bikes are easily accommodated under lock in our large barn-garage.

We try to cultivate an informal, relaxed atmosphere, and you will find The Fleece House an ideal venue for a rambling club outing, or a place to take a relaxed weekend break by yourself or with friends.
